Why do you need to know your number and move with it?
The Enneagram is all about movement.
Some people 'think' that knowing their number and their position on the Enneagram is all there is. Let me say
again, the Enneagram is all about movement and until you really commit to learning and practicing awareness you will continue
to live a fragmented life. You will continue to live with frustration, with the same old reactions to specific events,
and in general you will be disconnected.
If you truly want a better life, experiencing the Grace of the Enneagram will make a huge difference for you and
for the lives of those you touch. Here are just a few things that you can experience:
- You can have a deeper experience of the Divine, whether or not your
practice includes religion.
- You can learn to be in harmony with your head,
your heart and your gut - providing you with the affirmation that you are living in harmony with all of you.
- You can have a healthy relationship to stress and move with it in ways that will uplift you.
- You can gently interact with people who used to rub you wrong and
get on your nerves.
- You can change your relationship to food
to be very healthy and feel a healthy body working with you instead of against you.
- You can experience aliveness within your soul and hear.
- You
can experience letting go of old ways of being that are not supportive to your body, mind, and soul.
- You can experience patience from your center.
Do I need to go on? I could. For this space, let me just state that experiencing
the Enneagram in it's fullness can take you from living from the one aspect of you that is your preference - whether
that is your mind, your heart, or your body and integrate all of you. You can live with intention, awareness, internal
and external peace and openness to Mystery.
How can I state these things? Because this has been my experience of moving with my number. If I can
experience this, you can too. It only requires an open, willing person who is seeking and journeying for deeper meaning
in their life.
I have more information below
on what the Enneagram is and the structure of they Enneagram.
The Offer
I am offering to journey with you and your space on the Enneagram to help you achieve some of the things I achieved
on my journey. This 6 month program will consist of:
- Monthly telephone calls to me. You can call me with any phone,
use skype, gmail video chat, Mac video ....whatever works for you.
- Prior
to our first conversation, you will need to reply to a brief questionnaire that I will email to you. I will also be
emailing a document to help you determine your number if you do not know that.
- Our first conversation will be about your space on the circle. At the end of this call I will be assigning
an exercise and some reading assignments as well for the following month.
- Each
call after this will be about your journey - challenges, successes that you experienced and questions you would have.
- You will be required to journal twice a day - for a very brief period of time. Each morning
you will record your intention for the day (I will be providing that for you) and at the end of the day, you will record how
the day went based on your intention.
Financially
- What is this worth to you?
- My fee for this service will be $200 and is payable prior to our first meeting. This is very reasonable for
the amount of time I will be giving to you over a six month period. I will be setting aside one hour for each of our
calls. Some may go over some may be shorter. The call ends when we are done.
- Some of you will ask if you can pay me monthly. I must say no for the following reason.
Paying by the month gives you an out. You might not feel like doing the assignments, you are tired... your dog ate the
book :-) whatever your story is, it gives you an out. By paying up front, you are making a 6 month commitment to yourself.
I only want to journey with souls who are committed.
- If at the end of
6 months of honest work, you have not noticed a difference in your life I will refund your payment of $200.
- Payment is through PayPal where you will have a number of payment choices and you can do that
with a click on the Buy Now
button below.

What is the Enneagram?
Some
writers will refer to the Enneagram - pronounced ANY-a-gram- as a personality type tool. Other writers refer to it as
the way God has marked you prior to any knowledge you would have of your personality. Some will say we are born this
way.
I believe that we are born into this world with our number in tact and that we see and experience
life from this space in infancy. Early childhood experiences illustrate this truth, as very young children are known
to be silent thinkers, flamboyant dressers, or maybe tidy and neat. They exhibit traits they could not have learned
at such young ages. I recall my niece Sara at about the age of 3. She could put together an outfit that would
absolutely amaze me. And, she would walk and carry herself in these outfits with a sense of total sophistication and
confidence.
The Enneagram
has nine positions and 3 areas of space. The names of the nine positions vary a bit depending on the author of the
material. I have presented two different authors in the descriptions below.
- position one is the Perfectionist, the Reformer
- position two is the Giver, the Helper
- position three is
the Performer, the Achiever
- position four is the Romantic, the Individualist
- position five is the Observer, the Investigator
- position six is the Loyal Skeptic, the Loyalist
- position seven the Epicure, the Enthusiast
- position eight
is the Protector, the Challenger
- position nine is the Mediator,
the Peacemaker
The 3 areas of space (defined
below as the points of the triangle and the numbers that are in those areas) are the heart area (positions 2, 3, 4) the head
area (5,6,7) and the gut area (8,9,1).
The Enneagram has been around since approximately 2500 B.C. It is know to be practiced within Christianity,
Judaism, and Buddhism. The Sufi's (a mystical dimension of Islam)are most often given the credit for the origination
of the Enneagram. It has very deep roots in ancient traditions. One of my favorite quotes from Wisdom of the
Enneagram by Riso and Hudson states that "Beneath surface differences and appearances, behind the veils of illusion,
the light of Divinity shines in every individual." These differences and illusions, when not paid attention to,
can greatly disrupt our lives and affect the quality of our lives at a very deep level.
Above, I mentioned that the Enneagram is about movement. Simply stated, when you know your
number you have choices to make. If you continue to overuse the gift of your number (I have an example of this below
in the structure section) you deteriorate and end up living out of a different number. If you want to truly live the
gift of your number in a whole way, you need to move to the healthy side of another number. This is the movement you
monitor with knowledge and living with day to day awareness. The Enneagram is about three: three ways of living
in one with the unity of the number three.

The Structure
|
The
Enneagram consists of a circle with a triangle inside. The points of the triangle mark three areas (9, 3, 6) of space
i.e, the heart, (2, 3, 4) the head (5, 6, 7) the gut (8, 9, 1). Within the circle is also a six sided figure - a hexad
- and the positions are 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Each of the 9 positions represents a way of being. Each position
has a special and unique way of looking at the world. This would be what I call our gift. Without soul full awareness
, this gift will become our obsession and take us out of the realm of truth. That sounds hard to believe that overusing
your gift could cause you problems. Here is an example that I chose because most of us know people in this position
and can relate to this. This is the position of 2 and is referred to as the helper, the giver, the caretaker.
This sounds like a wonderful thing, no? And it is. All of the positions are wonderful! If
the persons in this position are not aware of their compulsion to help everyone, they will burn
out and end up disintegrating into another number and not living from the gift of the whole 2 - who they really are.
They will be frustrated, anxious people as the unhealthy giving is being motivated by a deeper
fear of not being needed, liked and loved. They secretly believe that if they help everyone, they are doing
a wonderful thing and therefore are needed. The gift of the giver becomes blocked by compulsive
behavior which actually will do harm to the person's inner being and their physical health will also be put to risk.
If their helping is not authentic (four space) they move to detachment in the eight position and become focused on
power and control. The Twos are to move to the position of four and claim inner peace that is not based on how others
need or perceive them.

Are you ready?
I've
briefly presented what the Enneagram is and what the structure looks like. There is a tremendous amount of material
I could have presented and chose to keep it simpler by just touching on some of the points. To truly live from the Enneagram
requires the assitance of another who can see how you play out. It is very challenging to reorient a way that you have
lived for all of your life on your own. You wear personal blinders.
I have presented an offer above to help you and it will change your life for the better. It is also very reasonably
priced. It is my belief that the experience I am offering you will be like nothing else you have encountered and it
will make a difference in your life.
